“I will be glad and exult in Thee; I will sing praise to Thy name, O Most High.” The presentation of this text starts with a traditional choral version using King James pronouns, and thereafter transitions into a contemporary feel. I suppose it brings forth the idea that praise of God is the same phenomenon irrespective of language, place, or time. So praise Him!

There are three clues in this song. The first is in the title, the second is in the initial time signature, and the third is in the tempo indica. These three all have “9” and “2” in common, and in that order. It was only a matter of seconds before Amy Chan was checking our roster for someone with a birthday of September second.

I will be glad and exult in You,
I will sing praise to Your, name, O Most High,
You are the Lord, Almighty, Holy God,
You are the King, Creator, Righteous Judge,
I will be glad and exult in You.

You are the One who controls my destiny,
You are the One who is my stay,
You are the One whose grace has made me free,
You are the Lord of all my ways.
I will praise You, Lord, with all my heart,
I will show forth all your marvelous works!

You are a Refuge for those who run in fear,
You are the Healer of blind and lame,
You are the merciful God who’s always near,
You are the First, the Last, the Same.
I will praise You, Lord, with all my heart,
I will show forth all your marvelous works!

I will exult!

Me gozaré y exultaré, mi Dios,
Tu nombre cantaré, Dios Altísimo,
Tu eres Señor, Digno y Santo Dios,
Tu eres el Rey, Creador, Justo Juez,
Me gozaré y exultaré, mi Dios.

Tu eres quien controlas me destino,
Sólo en ti yo reposaré,
Sólo pur tu gracias, somos libres,
Tu eres Señor de mi camino.
Te alabo, Dios de corazón,
Son tus obras las que contaré.

Tu eres Refugio no temeré,
Sólo en ti tendré sanidad,
Misericordioso Dios, siempre cerca,
Tu eres Señor, Eterno Padre.
Te alabo, Dios de corazón,
Son tus obras las que contaré.

¡Exultaré!
