What You’re Allowed to Do with Music from Choraegus

Here’s what you have permission to do with music you’ve purchased from Choraegus:

  • You have permission to maintain copies of the scores you’ve bought in accordance with our licensing agreement.
  • You have permission to perform our music in live (including livestreamed) services or performances.
  • You have permission to record your rehearsals and performances. For pieces that aren’t listed in the next bullet point below, you’re also permitted to post those recordings on church websites or social media. Please include the title of each piece and composer/arranger credits with each recording you post.
  • The following are pieces for which we had to obtain special permission to arrange. If you want to livestream, record and/or post/archive any of these, please contact the copyright holder for permission to do so:
    • Earth and All Stars
    • Gwerzy
    • Those Were the Days
    • Winter Dance
    • Wrong Foot Forward

Other situations:

  • Please don’t (re)distribute music that you buy from us. Our licensing agreement doesn’t allow this, and we ask you to respect that.
  • If you want to include your recording of any of our pieces on a CD, DVD, or other media that you intend to distribute or sell, contact us to discuss and formalize copyright issues, publication permissions and licensing arrangements before this happens.
  • If you want to include a reprint, partial or otherwise, of any of our scores in written media (hardcopy or softcopy), contact us to obtain relevant permissions.
