The message of this song somehow shaped itself (note anthropomorphization of inanimate lyrics!) into a hip-hop style number. It’s presents the Gospel and our need for it clearly, so use it to win others for the Lord! The chorus contains the single clue in the words and music (combined). Because the rests break the chorus lyric into phrases/subphrases, we get the following:

God’s Word presents
the truth,
the Savior,
The Lord Jesus
crucified,
The Gift from above,
God’s Word reveals Him –
He’s the perfect source of
hope,
peace,
and everlasting love.

If you don’t know where you’re going,
and don’t like where you’ve been,
Put your faith in Jesus, the King of Kings,
Then as the Bible says,
God will save you from your sin,
You will be His child and then you’ll sing…

If you find that circumstances
are difficult at best,
Turn to the Lord Jesus, the One who cares,
Then as the Bible says,
God will give you peace and rest,
He will give you power, and you’ll declare…

If your soul if heaven-sealed
but you’re ignoring God’s commands,
Repent and follow Jesus, the Lord of Hosts,
Then as the Bible says,
God will keep you in His plans,
And you will be victorious, and you will boast…
