LWCP 1993-1994, Volume 5 – Well-Established
Although there were “only” five songs in the fifth volume of the Living Water Composition Project, they covered a wide style range. The LWCP songs possess a remarkable stylistic latitude, and new entries this year stretched the envelope even farther. For instance, “Sojourner’s Hope” finished with a fugue written in Baroque style.
I continued to be surprised by the way in which the members of Living Water embrace their songs. As of June 1994, we had performed thirty-eight of the fifty-two LWCP songs, and a number of them, such as “The Lord Will Give Me Wings”, “The Big Picture”, “Ghosts Of The Past”, “He Is Always Near”, “Bright Eyes”, and “Psalm 9:2” had been shared more than once.
Living Water’s enthusiasm encouraged me tremendously as I led them; they perceived the ministry God has given us as worthwhile in eternity’s eyes. To those of you who read this (and to everyone else who has ministered with us too): Thank you so much for your friendship and desire to honor the Lord. You all are very precious to me, and it’s my privilege to serve with you. I love you all!
