Return to Eight-Handbell Collections – “Surprisingly Easy”™

Larry and Carla’s First “Surprisingly Easy”™ Eight-Bell Hymn Collection

We’ve been having a great time sharing our eight-bell music with the world, and decided it was time to create 0ur first “Surprisingly Easy” collection of hymns!

You can play this music with two four-in-hand ringers… or you could have four ringers with two bells each. Beginning ringers will have fun with these, and will have an easy way to learn to play multiple bells, too. And when you master them, you can think about moving on to learn the more advanced versions that take the music a bit further! You can find those versions at https://www.choraegus.com/ring/eight-bell-music/.

A total of thirteen bells are used to play the entire set (G5, Ab5, A5, Bb5, B5, C6, C#6/Db6, D6, Eb6, E6, F6, F#6, and G6), so if you’re playing the entire book, everything will fit on just one table!

Practice tracks for the pieces in this collection are available separately with the individual scores.

”Dual-Range”™ Score Package: $30.00 US

Purchasing this 8-bell collection gives you permission to print and maintain up to four copies for your handbell group (plus the accompaniment score, if part of the purchase) – so you only need to pay once. Purchase also gives permission for performance, broadcasting, live-streaming and video-sharing online. See our licensing agreement for full details, and please remember to mention the title and arranger of the piece on video-sharing sites, social media and any printed materials such as concert programs.

I need clarification on a number of things. 1) Are purchases delivered electronically, or physically (as hard copies)? 2) Does purchase include reproduction rights? (i.e. purchase one copy of an 8-bell collection & copy parts for a 4-ringer group, or requirement to purchase enough books for everyone? 3) If music is in hard copy, what are delivery options? 4) If music is electronic file, what file type options are available? 5) Are there “on-approval” or “return” options for hard copies? 6) Do you have preview pages for either hard copy or electronic editions?

    Hi Jim!

Thank you for taking a look at our music! Here are the qnswers to your questions:

    – When you purchase music from Choraegus, the web page confirming completion of your transaction will contain download links so you can get your music immediately.

    – Our Licensing Agreement tells how many copies you’re allowed to maintain for your ensemble’s use. Please give it a quick read!

    – Sorry, but we don’t have preview pages for our music. It was a difficult decision that involved a lot of discussion, but in the end we decided that the videos should be enough to provide an idea of what’s in our arrangements. If you’re new to eight-bell music, we suggest that one of our “Surprisingly Easy”™ collections might be a good place to test the waters.

Once again, thank you for considering our music – we hope that you’ll try some of it!
