Hark! the Glad Sound (CHESTERFIELD) – Twelve handbells

The hymn Hark! the Glad Sound, arranged for twelve handbells, anticipates the Savior’s coming. It speaks of the triumphant kingdom He will establish, and is suitable for Advent or Palm Sunday. twelve handbells

Hark, the glad sound! The Savior comes, the Savior promised long!
Let every heart prepare a throne, and every voice a song.

He comes the pris’ners to release, in Satan’s bondage held;

the gates of brass before Him burst, the iron fetters yield.

He comes the broken heart to bind, the bleeding soul to cure,
and with the riches of His grace, to enrich the humbled poor.

Our glad Hosannas, Prince of Peace, Thy welcome shall proclaim;

and heav’n’s eternal arches ring, with Thy beloved Name.

    Hi Linda!

    Yes, we do! Almost all of our twelve-bell scores come in several different keys. You can check whether you have the bells needed by looking at the BUC (Bells Used Chart) displayed for each transposition. For instance, we have a number of scores written for C5-G6 in white keys; they usually have an F major version that uses bells F5-C7.

    Do let us know if you have other questions!

    Happy Ringing,
    Larry
