About Our Practice MP3s

We have practice MP3s for most of our unaccompanied small-ensemble handbell scores (up to sixteen bells). For a small cost, you get a piano-plus-click-track audio version of the score. Your ensemble can use them to hear what they’re playing with a guiding metronome.

There are separate G5-based and F5-based MP3s for our “dual-range” eight-bell scores. We suggest purchasing the “dual-range”™ score package first so you can decide which transposition to play. When you’ve done that, you can decide which practice MP3 will suit your needs.

Each practice MP3 starts with metronome clicks two bars before the first full bar of music. If there’s a pickup note, it’ll be in the second of those two bars. Also, the first beat of each bar is accented to make it easier to keep track of the music.

Our practice MP3s play at full score tempo. We do understand that not everyone is instantly ready to play music at full speed for some number of rehearsals, though. We recommend getting an app such as Audipo or the Amazing Slow Downer handle this – just load the practice MP3 into the app, and then use the app to adjust the playback tempo.
