Rogue Valley Handbell Festival 2006 - Solo Concert

The solo concert, as usual, was a wonderful time. We had ensembles, full choirs, and soloists (Nancy Hascall) played a gorgeous Baroque sonata that was a tremendously difficult piece to manage and, as usual, she played it very nicely!).

My little "fun story" was from the end of my solo on "This is My Father's World" which Marcy had requested at the end of 2005. Overall, it also is a fairly technical solo (for "bass bells, mostly") that places some rather bizarre demands on the ringer. When I lifted the double Shelleys at the end (Db3-Ab3 and F4-Db5), I thought I heard a gasp from the audience...
