The Living Water Composition Project is not confined to any particular style; in fact, the songs therein are distributed across a large number of musical genres. "He That Dwelleth In The Secret Place Of God" is written in a style similar to the earlier works of Felix Mendelssohn.
There are two clues. The "words" clue is based on the meaning of "Vlad," which translates to "William," which, in turn, means "protector," which is the picture drawn of God in the text taken from Psalm 91:1-2.
"He That Dwelleth" has a huge vocal pitch range of four octaves plus a half step. The basses sing down to C below the bass clef, and the first sopranos soar up to D-flat above the treble clef. There also are divisions of up to seven parts; it clearly is one of the most technically challenging LWCP pieces.
Nevertheless, it has proven to be quite singable, and has become a Living Water favorite, being far and away the most-selected song for "The Last Request.". And... Cayley has also ventured to sing it as a very passable duet!
11/14/2002: Mr. Fred Bond asked for an arrangement of this song as a tenor solo... so here it is (of, course, the tenor solo score can also be used by a soprano)!
