Pete was the only person to serve in Seasons of Heart over all four of his senior high years. He also anchored the Living Water bass section and provided a lot of encouragement to everyone around him. It's fitting that the title of his song is based on the meaning of his first name.

The comparison of Satan's attacks to a vicious storm is an apt one which is reflective of some of the trials we face in this life. But Christ is our Rock and Protector, and so those storms can't hurt us as we trust Him. Point of interest: Pete is Laurie's twin brother, and both of their songs have storms in them.

The storm blusters wildly in the desert and the hill,
Questing for victims to frighten and to kill,
Pounding the pavement, slashing through the town,
It finds its prey and fearfully it moves to strike them down.
And it splinters the door, smashes the walls, shatters the glass, screams in the halls,
And it ruins the floor, buckles the beams, slaughters the fam'ly,
This never happened in their worst dreams!
Oh, they shoulda been...
Chorus: ...built on rock forever,
Putting my faith on Jesus alone,
Built on rock forever,
To have an unshakable, unbreakable home!
The storm blusters wildly in the desert and the hill,
Questing for victims to frighten and to kill,
Pounding the pavement, slashing through the town,
It finds its prey and fearfully it moves to strike me down.
And it dies at my door, wilts on my walls, glides off my glass, can't reach my halls,
And it can't find the floor, breaks on my beams, I'm safe inside with God, my hopes, and all my dreams!
Oh, I'm gonna be...
Chorus
Put your faith in God e'erlasting, base your life upon His truth,
All your lot before Him casting, His Name honor from your youth,
Give Him talent, time, and treasure in subjection to His name,
He will use you in great measure in the vict'ry that He's claimed!
Oh, I'm gonna be...
Chorus
