Living
Water Scrapbook - Cedar Grove Community Church, Livermore, California
In the summer of 1992 Barb Keller, a long-time friend from the Mount Hermon Music Conference, called to ask if Living Water would be interested in singing at her church. They'd been going through a pretty rough time with the loss of their senior pastor and music director, and so she thought that they'd benefit from a time of encouragement. So we put a program together and visited them in October of that year.
God granted us a fantastic ministry opportunity there - it was a time for the spirits of the people in Livermore to be picked up, and a time for us to learn a little more of what being in ministry is all about. In the course of the next few years, this ministry continued, and as a result, the Cedar Grove youth choir started and began exploring opportunities to minister to other people as well (recursive ministry has always been a thrill to me).
This was the beginning of our concert ministry to other churches. In particular, we tailored the first program to the need at hand with the direct intention of providing the encouragement Barb and Cedar Grove desired.
Praise God!
